What this assessment is
The Leadership Quotient is an original 20-statement instrument measuring four leadership approaches: Targeted, Enthusiastic, Accommodating, and Meditative. Each style is measured by five statements answered on a five-point scale (Strongly Agree → Strongly Disagree).
Scoring
- Raw score per style: 5–25 (sum of five items).
- Percentage per style: raw ÷ 25 × 100.
- Task Orientation = average of Targeted and Meditative percentages.
- Relationship Orientation = average of Enthusiastic and Accommodating percentages.
- Leadership Balance Index: 100 − (2 × mean absolute deviation of the four style percentages from their mean), clamped 0–100. A higher index reflects a more even distribution across the four approaches — not a "better" leader.
- Blended profile: top two styles within a configurable percentage-point threshold (default 5 pp).
- Balanced profile: all four styles within a configurable threshold (default 10 pp).
Randomization & integrity
For every attempt the 20 statements are shuffled into a mixed order. Category labels are never shown during the assessment. Adjacent statements from the same hidden category are avoided when possible. The order is stored per attempt so that saving and returning preserves the order. Every authorized retake creates a new attempt with a new order — previously submitted assessments are never overwritten.
Group analysis
This analysis includes only retail organizations represented by leaders who completed the Leadership Quotient assessment and were successfully matched to an eligible membership record. It does not represent all retail members. Differences may reflect who chose to participate as well as differences in leadership profiles.
